Boxborough Real Estate

BoxboroughĀ is a town inĀ Middlesex County,Ā Massachusetts, United States. The population was 4,996 at the 2010 census.[1]Ā The town name is often simplified to “Boxboro” on highway signs and official documents.
Geography
According to theĀ United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 10.4 square miles (27Ā km2), of which 10.4 square miles (27Ā km2) is land and 0.1 square miles (0.26Ā km2), or 0.48%, is water.
Boxborough is bordered byĀ LittletonĀ to the north,Ā ActonĀ to the east,Ā StowĀ to the south, andĀ HarvardĀ to the west. Prior to incorporation in 1783, the area that is now Boxborough was part of Stow, Harvard, and Littleton.[2]
Demographics
As of theĀ census[13]Ā of 2000, there were 4,868 people, 1,853 households, and 1,271 families residing in the town. TheĀ population densitywas 469.7 people per square mile (181.4/km2). There were 1,906 housing units at an average density of 183.9 per square mile (71.0/km2). The racial makeup of the town was 88.82%Ā White, 0.33%Ā African American, 0.02%Ā Native American, 8.48%Ā Asian, 0.37% fromĀ other races, and 1.97% from two or more races.Ā HispanicĀ orĀ LatinoĀ of any race were 1.13% of the population.
There were 1,853 households, out of which 42.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 60.2% were married couples living together, 5.9% had a female householder with no husband present, and 31.4% were non-families. 25.9% of all households were made up of individuals, and 3.2% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.63 and the average family size was 3.25.
In the town, the population was spread out, with 30.5% under the age of 18, 5.1% from 18 to 24, 34.3% from 25 to 44, 25.3% from 45 to 64, and 4.7% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 37 years. For every 100 females, there were 104.1 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 102.0 males.
According to the 2010 Census (http://www.clrsearch.com/01719_Demographics/Household-Income[permanent dead link]), the median income for a household in the town was $115,639 and the average income for a household was $147,625. The per capita income for the town was $59,551. About 1.5% of families and 2.8% of the population were below theĀ poverty line, including 3.8% of those under age 18 and none of those age 65 or over.
